Here too it faced stiff competition from android and Samsung, with the Galaxy tab2 providing much of the functionality of an iPad at a significantly cheaper price.
Not wishing to be left out of the tablet revolution, Microsoft released Windows 8. Designed as a one size fits all operating system, the default interface was targeted at tablet users and left many traditional Windows users mourning the loss of the "START" button.
