The story doesn't make much sense but the dialog is fast and clever. He makes fun of pretentious latte-drinking virtue-signaling fools, which I liked a lot and we do not ever get too much of.
I gotta hand it to these people, they made a good, funny, silly, entertaining movie with not much more than talent. This four brain movie runs for one hour and 25 minutes, almost exactly a Zombie flick average.
It might be rated R, if it was rated, for Zombie gobbling but there is no bad language or nakie stuff. Even after getting drunk and spending the night together, the stars still have their clothes on.
This young lady is another Jim Cary, she is spot on delivering one liners. My son and I were rolling on the floor. She is out with her friend and spotted a man she wanted to meet, her friend said well go talk to him.

Considering none of them are big-budget flicks, this one has a pretty good story; A geeky girls finds a hunky guy and they end up spending the night.
They wake up to the Zombie Apocalypse. Now, two people that really don't know each other have to pull together to survive. Of course they find out right away that they are completely different people; She's a bit of a "cute nerd" and he's a spoiled rich kid trying to save Earth Day.
Not a roll-on-the-floor--laugh-your-A-off Not bad at all for a Kick Started financed movie You may see some of the Kick Starter donators IN the background of the movie.
And Hint: There's a fun twist at the end I love this movie so much. It is hilarious and also adorable. If you like zombies but not so much the gore that can come with them then give this movie a try you won't be disappointed.

I loved the characters and the girl was driving my old car! My IQ dropped a point or two and the plot wasn't too hard to figure out but I loved this film.

I have watched this movie a dozen time, not because it was that great and not because Maria Thayer is cute as a button, but because my little granddaughter loves it.
Now, the fact that I could watch a decent movie that everybody agrees upon is sufficient to cop a 5-star rating. It is not the greatest film ever made, and not beause Maria Thayer is hot although she is but it is funny, goofy and Deb is a lovable ditz.
It is a family zombie movie. Well, my wife doesn't like it, but she only likes those boring movies in which nothing blows up and no one gets shot or beheaded.
She is weird. I thought this was a regular romantic comedy with a tongue in cheek reference to Zombie flicks in the title.

This is the story of Deb a bubbly goofy young woman who meets a guy at the local bar. The next day she awakes in his place it's July 4th and it's the zombie apocalypse.
